Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire near 2200 North Billings Street at approximately 11:30 a.m. AFR discovered a two-story row of townhomes with active fire on the first floor of one of the units. AFR implemented an aggressive interior fire attack and successfully contained the fire in the kitchen. Thanks to the diligent efforts of our fire crews, the building was saved, and no one was injured. The fire is now extinguished, and the building remains tenable.
