The city of Aurora, in conjunction with the Office of International and Immigrant Affairs, sought to conduct primary community-based research among immigrant and refugee communities within its boundaries. The main goal of the research was to assess and prioritize services and programs for the aforementioned populations. The qualitative and quantitative research consisted of six focus groups targeting diverse populations from various ethnicities, races, languages and ages.
