Addressing

How do I find an address? If you know the address of the property you are looking for, and the property is located within the city of Aurora, use the Property Information tool to research information associated with an address. If you do not know the address of a property of interest, call 303.739.7000 or email the City Addresser.

How are streets named? The city of Aurora assigns street names according to the Denver Metropolitan Street Grid Guidelines. The grid was adopted by the majority of city and county governments within the greater Denver Metropolitan Area in 1956 and remains in effect.

How are addresses assigned? Addresses are usually assigned after a site plan is approved by Planning & Zoning Commission, the Planning & Development Services director or the Aurora City Council.

Can I change my address? Addresses are only changed when there is an error that affects future addressing or when it is necessary for improved public safety response.
