Campaign Finances


Candidates are required to understand and comply with the campaign finance regulations adopted by City Council. Chapter 54, Article IV of the City Code provides up-to-date information on the city's financial rules and regulations that must be followed by all candidates, organizations and committees involved in election campaigns. 

Contribution and expenditure reporting requirements continue to apply until a committee has no further funds, has paid all of their bills and have filed a termination report.



Initial Filings
The following documents should be submitted via email to Aurora.Elections@auroragov.org or with the Nomination Petition Packets.

You will need to submit the following forms if you intend to accept contributions on behalf of your candidacy:
Candidate Affidavit
Treasurer Affidavit
Committee Registration

You will need to submit a Standalone Candidate Affidavit if you will not be accepting contributions in support of your candidacy:
