Campaign Finance

Aurora's Campaign Finance System (CFIS)

The Campaign Finance System is an online dashboard where candidates and treasurers register, submit financial data, manage accounts, produce reports, and file documentation. It also provides a user-friendly web portal for the public to search for registered candidates/committees and parse through their campaign finance reports.

Information and Guides

Chapter 54, Article IV of the City Code provides information on the city's financial rules and regulations that must be followed by all candidates, organizations, and committees involved in election campaigns. Below is general information on Aurora's campaign finance regulations. Reliance solely on these documents is not advised. Ultimately, candidates and committee treasurers are responsible for compliance with the City Code and not with this general overview of the complex regulatory provision in the City Code.
