The Office of Internal Audit has the authority, per City Code Section 2-66, to provide advisory services and conduct audits of all city departments including council appointees, offices, boards, activities, agencies, and programs. The office reports administratively to the City Manager and functionally to the City Council's Management and Finance Committee, which serves as the audit committee.
