City of Aurora Parks and Open Space -  8,000 acres of open space, 119 miles of trails, 103 parks, 3 nature centers and 2 reservoirs

Walk, hike, bike, fish or just play! Aurora has 103 developed parks and 8,000 acres of open space to help you maintain an active lifestyle. Park hours are 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily; Open Spaces are open dawn to dusk. Park amenities vary; however, most parks have playground equipment, picnic tables and nearby multi-use trails. Twenty city parks have reservable shelters; all other shelters are free and are first-come, first-served during park hours.
