(Oct. 1, 2023) – The Aurora Police Department Major Crime Homicide Unit is investigating a homicide at an apartment complex in the Lyn Knoll neighborhood.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting about 4:45 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Potomac Street. When officers arrived, they found a man slumped in the driver’s seat of a blue 2006 Volkswagen Jetta.
There were multiple bullet holes in the driver’s side window. The victim, a 23-year-old man, sustained numerous gunshot wounds and was dead when officers arrived at the scene.
The victim’s identity will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office after notification of next of kin.
