A fire in a commercial building this afternoon caused damage inside a business near N. Airport Rd. and E. 2nd Ave.
At approximately 1 p.m. Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a fire at Cooper’s Small Batch Hot Sauce at 333 N. Airport Blvd. Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the blaze. Thankfully, everyone was able to make it out safely and there were no injuries. The interior of the building was damaged, including ceiling and insulation.
Aurora Fire Rescue reminds community members to be aware of safe exit routes at the workplace, in case there is ever a need to evacuate due to an emergency.
