Aurora Reservoir

Notice: Beginning Tuesday, October 1 the swim area will be closed for the season. Swimming will reopen on Memorial Day weekend, 2025. The beaches remain available for recreational activities, but swimming is not allowed.

Aurora Reservoir Update: As of Monday, Sept. 2, the Aurora Reservoir will continue normal posted hours of operation, however the main entry station is closed and there have been changes to the reservoir entry process until further notice.

- Patrons must pay for daily admittance passes at one of the self-service stations that are located just past the main entry gate or at the lower parking lot area, where boat inspections take place.

- All passes, daily and annual, must be visible in the front windshield of vehicles. Reservoir staff will be checking vehicles on a continuous basis for daily and seasonal passes.

- One lane traffic operations in and out of the reservoir will continue. Arriving and leaving the Aurora Reservoir property will require extra time. Please plan your travel accordingly.

We want to thank our Aurora Reservoir patrons for their continued support and appreciate their patience during this time.

2024 Annual Passes are $85 ($10 increase) and discounts will still apply.
2024 Watercraft Access Passes are $20 ($5 increase).

Kayak and Stand Up Paddleboard rentals are closed for the season. Rentals will be available again next year, Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, 2025.

Drones are prohibited inside the park and are not allowed on any City of Aurora owned property.
