CHILD CARE AT CENTRAL RECREATION CENTER
Parents, guardians and older siblings are able to utilize the Central Recreation Center while their child is being supervised by qualified staff! Our Kidz Care program allows those with children between the ages of 18 months and 7 years of age to participate in classes and take advantage of the center’s amenities knowing their child is in a safe place.
Recreation Center Child Care Hours
- Monday-Friday: 4:30-7:30 p.m.
- Saturday/Sunday: 8:30-11:30 a.m.
Daily Time Limits: Two hours per day.
Child Care Fees
- $7 per hour per child
- $30 for 5 times punch pass
Payment
Parent, guardian and siblings responsible for the child, will be required to pay at the front desk of the recreation center and bring a receipt to the Kidz Care room.
Child Care Safety Guidelines
Policy: Children attending Kidz Care are required to be between the ages of 18 months and 7 years of age.
Rules: The Kidz Care Program requires the following:
- Children can attend Kidz Care for no more than 2 hours per day.
- Children must be able to walk on their own without the assistance of an adult.
- Staff will not be responsible for diaper changing, feeding or administering medications.
- Children who show signs of sickness will not be allowed to enter.
- Parent, guardian or siblings responsible for the child being babysat, are required to pick up the child if there are independent care needs and/or inconsolable after 10 minutes.
- Parent, guardian or siblings responsible for the child being babysat, are required to stay inside the facility at all times while the child is in Kidz Care.
- Parent, guardian or siblings responsible for the child being babysat, are required to pick up the child by the designated time given at check-in.
- Please take your child to the restroom prior to each Kidz Care session. Your child will be required to wash their hands before starting each day of care. During Kidz Care time, children can use the bathroom located in the Kidz Care room.
Procedure:
- Parent, guardian and siblings responsible for the child, will be required to pay at the front desk of the recreation center and bring a receipt to the Kidz Care room.
- An assigned pick-up time will be given to the parent, guardian or sibling responsible for the child upon check-in.
- If the time purchased is longer than the time left for the designated hours of operation, the child will be required to be picked up by the designated closing time of Kidz Care.
- If a parent, guardian or sibling needs to contact Kidz Care staff during operating hours, the room phone number is 720.859.4999.
- If a parent, guardian or sibling responsible for the child needs to be contacted, they will be contacted in this order:
- Calling the designated phone number.
- Searched for by recreation center staff.
- Called over the recreation center intercom system.
- Final call by designated phone number.
- Aurora Police Department called.
- EMERGENCY SITUATION – In the event of an emergency evacuation, children will be taken outside and taken to the far end of the North side parking lot.
