Park & Open Space Permits

Aurora offers well-maintained parks, beautiful open space areas and two scenic reservoirs. A Park and Open Space permit is required, and a fee will be assessed, at any city-owned park, recreation area, open space site, trail or reservoir if the request is for commercial use, exclusive use, or if the proposed activity will impact other park users and/or general park operations. Park Shelter Rentals or Reservoir Shelter Rentals

Unsure what impacts your proposed event may have? For the success of your event, please contact us 30 days (at a minimum) in advance. Insurance may be required, as well as additional permits, so plan ahead and let us walk you through the process. We’re here to help! Email parkpermits@auroragov.org and provide a summary of your proposed event and desired location.
