Your water rate plans for the future water needs of Aurora, including:
Maintain, replace and update existing infrastructure.
Buy additional water as it becomes available.
Build more water storage – Converting gravel pits in small reservoirs along the South Platte north of Aurora, as well as continued study and planning for larger reservoirs to meet future needs.
Improve sanitary sewer and storm drain systems – Additional/improved detention ponds, stream stabilization and increased storm-water detention. Storm drain systems need to be expanded to meet new federal criteria for 100 year flood planning.
