Nepalese Community Workshop

Our Community Relations Section, in partnership with the city of Aurora's Office of International and Immigrant Affairs, spent time with Nepalese community members in an effort to learn from each other and connect.

Highlights of the day included:

911 Insights: Participants gained essential knowledge on the effective use of 911, ensuring that everyone knows how to get help when it's critically needed.

Understanding Traffic Laws: We explored various local traffic regulations to promote safer roads for our community.

Empowering Our Youth: The workshop provided a platform to explore support systems and resources aimed at nurturing a supportive environment for the younger members of our community.

The Power of Engagement: Engaging with our immigrant communities is at the heart of building a safe, inclusive, and understanding Aurora.

This workshop underscored the importance of open dialogue, education, and collaboration between law enforcement and immigrant communities. It's through these gatherings that we bridge gaps and foster a sense of unity and security across all of Aurora.
