Real Property

The Real Property Services Division in the city's Public Works Department is responsible for acquiring, leasing and disposing of city-owned property. The division also provides surveying services to city departments, including boundary, design and construction, and maintaining a robust horizontal and vertical control network to aid private surveyors and firms with their work in Aurora.

The division does not provide real estate advice or surveying services to the general public.

Mineral rights leases and other matters related to oil and gas are handled by the city's Oil and Gas Division.

The Land Review Services team is responsible for development application referral reviews of subdivision plats, annexation plats, site plans, easement/right-of-way dedications and releases by separate instrument, research, development-related licensing, development review meetings, and fiber/wireless communications facilities licensing.
