Archery at Aurora Reservoir

The Archery Range is open during regular park hours. A city of Aurora parks pass is required to use the archery range. The range includes 16 target bales ranging in distance from 15 to 65 yards. Bring your own targets and equipment. Long bows and crossbows are permissible. For crossbows you must bring your own targets/backstops. Crossbow bolts and broadhead arrows are not permitted on City-owned target bales. 

Archery Range Regulations: 
1. Bows/arrows & crossbows/bolts are permitted in designated areas only. All other firearms are prohibited.

2. Broadhead/arrows and crossbows/bolts/broadhead bolts are prohibited on city-owned target butts/backstops.

3. Crossbows may only be cocked/loaded while standing at the firing line. When not standing at the firing line crossbows must be uncocked/unloaded.

4. Shooting of arrows/bolts after sunset is prohibited.

5. All archers must shoot from the distance markers.

6. All archers under sixteen (16) years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

7. Alcohol is prohibited in the archery range and within the archery range parking lot.

Location: When entering the park look for the East Lot sign and take a left. The road will take you to the Archery Range and the east parking lot below the dam.
