Aurora Public Library’s Muse Mentorship, started and mentored by Aurora Poet Laureate Ahja Fox, aims to support writers through one-on-one meetings as a means to work towards the mentee’s writing goals. Through one-on-one meetings, 8 to 10 depending on the mentee's project and needs, the recipient will learn, work and grow from their interactions and the spaces in-between!
Muse Mentorship is FREE of charge and is available to those 15 and over. Read about the first Muse mentee.
The application is open now and always! The program runs on a constant cycle which means you are always in the running to be a recipient.
Application Requirements:

Submit a cover letter explaining your writing goal or project and how this mentorship will help you accomplish it. Include details on how Aurora's Poet Laureate will support you.
- Attach a brief outline with the steps to start and complete your project if it is brand new OR a small sample of a current project if you have already started, including a few pages or screenshots.
- Note: mix-media is allowed.
