UPDATE

Starting March 1, 2025, the Aurora Police Department's Front Desk hours will be changing.

The Front Lobby at the Aurora Police Department's Headquarters will still be open 7 days a week, but from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. only.

Additionally, we will no longer have early morning or late night staff for phone reports. To report a crime afterhours, you can click here or call 303.627.3100.

The Front Lobby of Aurora Police Headquarters is open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Additionally, you can still call the front desk at 303.739.6050 between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and midnight to file a phone report.

Police services such as records, front desk crime reporting (crimes without suspect information for example), and police property are available at Police Headquarters. The lobby is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 7 days a week. To find out more information about police property and police records, click the links.

Police Headquarters also houses the Office of the Chief of Police, and the Investigations Bureau which investigates major crimes occurring throughout the city. The Investigations Bureau consists of the Economic Crimes Unit, Crime Lab, Crimes Against Children, Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, Sex Crimes Unit and the Major Crimes/Homicide Unit.

Other important services that are located at Police Headquarters include the Victim Services Unit, the Crime Lab, and the Public Information Office.

Parking

Parking for Police Headquarters is on the south side of the building east of the Aurora Central Library. The doors to the Front Lobby are located between the Municipal Court building (pictured above with a green dome) and the Aurora History Museum.
