Aurora Fire Rescue responded to reports of a structure fire near 15800 East Colorado Avenue at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24.
Upon arrival, AFR found a single-story, single-family house with an active fire. AFR crews quickly deployed attack hose lines to confine and extinguish the fire. A child was evaluated for smoke inhalation but was not transported to the hospital, and a dog was rescued from the house. The home is not habitable, and the displaced family will stay with relatives who live nearby. No other injuries were reported.
