What is the difference? Race vs Ethnicity

Race and ethnicity are social constructs used to identify people. The two categories are often used interchangeably and incorrectly.
Race refers to a person's physical characteristics. Race is often used to describe someone based on their skin color or other physical attributes.
Ethnicity refers to a group of people that identify with one another based on language, culture, nationality or religion.
