Protection Tips
-
Be careful what you carry in your wallet/purse. What information would someone have if you lost it?
-
Only carry your Social Security Card when necessary. Check your credit history yearly; federal law allows you to request a free copy from each Reporting Agency. Go to www.annualcreditreport.com to order.
-
Consider using a P.O. Box for bills, and only place outgoing mail in boxes at the Post Office.
-
Verify every charge on your credit card statements.
