Youth track gives participants the opportunity to learn and try a variety of track events, including running, jumping and throwing. All athletes will work on conditioning, proper fundamentals and techniques, team involvement and competition in a fun, low stress environment. Players will work with coaches during practice two evenings during the week, based on the offering they sign up in for their age group. Mon/Wed practice sessions start June 3 at Prairie middle school and Tue/Thu practice sessions start June 4 at Thunder Ridge middle school. Ages 4-8 practice from 5-6:15pm and ages 9-16 practice from 6:30-8pm for each session. Meets are held on Saturdays (June 22, 29 & July 13, 20) at various locations in the metro area, where athletes display their progress against athletes of the same age from other recreational teams. Meet times are approximately 8am-2pm. Fee includes required meet jersey. Parent meeting will be held during the first practice of each session where meet locations and other program details will be discussed.
