What Volunteer Opportunities Are Available At The Aurora Municipal Court?

Information Representatives

Information Representatives staff the Information Desk at the Aurora Municipal Court Justice Center.  Individuals will be trained to answer commonly asked questions, as well as provide directions to the visiting public.  These goodwill ambassadors will be one of the main points of contact the public has with the court system.  No experience is necessary.  Hours are 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM, Monday through Friday, once a week or more frequently, if available.  The minimum age requirement is eighteen (18).

First Appearance Center Clerical Assistant

A Clerical Assistant assists in processing a high volume of cases in the First Appearance Center.  This position requires volunteers to greet citizens summoned to Traffic Court, retrieve relevant case files, disseminate appropriate paper work and respond to questions regarding court procedures.  Volunteers may be required to assist court clerks by answering phones and maintaining proper order of case files.  No experience necessary.  Hours are 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday through Friday, once a week or more frequently, if available.  Minimum age requirement is eighteen (18).
