Aurora Reservoir

Park Hours: 
June - 5 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
July - 5 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Reservoirs Closed on Tuesday, July 14
Both Aurora and Quincy Reservoirs will be closed Tuesday, July 14 for the city's furlough. Other parts of the city will be on furlough and closed on July 2, but the Reservoirs will be open July 2.  

Swim Beach
The swim beach is open for recreational swimming and lifeguards are on duty Wednesday through Sunday in the summer, 10 am - 6 pm. Lifeguards will not be on duty Monday and Tuesday. Due to the drought conditions and anticipated low water levels this summer the swim beach may be affected

Lake View, Longs Peak and Pikes Peak shelters are available to be rented for large groups and events on weekends this summer. (In previous years they were not available to rent on summer weekends due to parking concerns.) Please arrive by 10 am to avoid a long line coming into the park or significant entry delays due to the park reaching capacity.

Playground Closure:

The playground at Aurora Reservoir is closed for repairs and upgrades. We do not have a firm date for when the playground will be reopened. We'll keep you posted.
