Seizure Board

Pursuant to Section 16-13-702, C.R.S., the Committee on Disposition of Forfeited Property for the Aurora Police Department, state of Colorado (hereafter referred to as 'Committee') is established. The Committee shall conduct its business in conformance with all applicable Colorado and federal laws and with the established bylaws, found below.

It is the duty and responsibility of the Committee to review, discuss, make decisions concerning, and/or to take action upon, the disposition of forfeited property received by the Aurora Police Department, and to oversee the appropriate use of such property as provided by law and the bylaws.

The Committee board membership is comprised of:

  • The Aurora Police Department's Chief of Police, or designee

  • The 17th and 18th District Attorney, or designee

  • Aurora City Council Member

Public meeting details, including whether they will be in-person or virtual, will be posted here.

The next Seizure Board meeting will be held virtually via Teams on February 19, 2025.
