Sign Up for Feb. 14 Winter Bike to Work Day

If you love making a positive impact on air quality, then register now to participate in Way to Go’s annual Winter Bike to Work Day—this year on Valentine’s Day, Friday, Feb. 14.
The city of Aurora joins the Denver Regional Council of Governments and other metro-area municipalities in participating again in this annual winter event that asks participants to commit to traveling by bike on that day, whether to work, run an errand, or spend time with friends.
To participate in Winter Bike to Work Day and earn a chance to win prizes, visit BikeToWorkDay.co and pledge to ride.
Stop by our breakfast station from 6:45 to 9 a.m. along the Highline Canal underpass just west of Chambers Road and get a free coffee and breakfast burrito (sponsored by Bicycle Aurora). While at the station—located northeast of the Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway—learn the latest news about Aurora’s new citywide multimodal transportation master planning effort, Connecting Aurora.
Additional stations in Aurora may be found at BikeToWorkDay.co.
A bicycle maintenance station is available on the west side of the Aurora Municipal Center (AMC) for anyone needing quick repairs, and bike racks are available on both sides of the AMC building.
Remember to don a warm pair of gloves, a headband or light winter hat under your bike helmet, and layers to stay warm. Avoid mishaps when snow and ice are present by slowing down and always maintaining an upright position.
Those who telework also may participate in Winter Bike to Work Day by swapping a car trip anywhere that day for a bike ride.
