Aurora is celebrating the end of the school year with a Summer Bash at the eSports Lounge, located inside the Expo Community Center, 19055 E. Exposition Ave. This summer celebration will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May 24. Attendees ages 8 to 18 will be able to enjoy a variety of popular video games, fun activities and free frozen treats from Kona Ice! Aurora Public Library’s Bookmobile and the Aurora Police Department’s FIVE-O gaming trailer, along with other community organizations, will also be at the event.
The eSports Lounge is the first-of-its-kind facility in Aurora – providing a safe space for video game fans and those who are part of the geek subculture to connect and compete. The lounge features six consoles, 10 computers and space for up to 22 gamers and spectators. A variety of special programming is available at the center year-round, including eSports leagues, robotics camps, coding classes, Dungeons and Dragons programs and much more.
