Around 6:28 PM, Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a natural gas leak at a 2-story single-family home. Thankfully, AFR quickly identified a 3/4-inch buried natural gas line that had been cut and was leaking. For safety reasons, AFR evacuated the nearby residents from two homes. AFR Hazardous Materials Team then worked diligently to uncover the ruptured line and plug the leak. Both houses were ultimately deemed safe, and their residents could return home. Thankfully, no one was injured due to AFR’s swift response and management of this incident.
