Aurora Fire Rescue needs hazmat and technical rescue teams to stop gas leak

At approximately 09:00 PM on February 9th, Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a report of a gas leak secondary to a vehicle hitting a gas meter. When crews arrived, they found damage to the home and car, with a gas meter actively leaking. First arriving crews upgraded the call to gain Xcel, AFRs hazmat, and technical rescue teams to help mitigate the scene. Thankfully, no one was injured, and Xcel assisted with securing the leaking gas line. At this time, no further updates are anticipated.
