(Feb. 2, 2024) – The Aurora Police Department Major Crime Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday on Florida Avenue in west Aurora.
Patrol officers responded about 4:45 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2024, to a report of a shooting in the 12200 block of East Florida Avenue. Once at the scene, officers located a 33-year-old Aurora man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers performed CPR on the man until an ambulance arrived at the scene. The man was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries. The man will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
The shooting is not related to a separate homicide that occurred earlier in the day on East Ford Avenue.
