(Feb. 1, 2024) – The Aurora Police Department Major Crime Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting on East Ford Avenue in west Aurora.
Aurora patrol officers and Police Area Representatives responded to a report of a shooting just after 10 a.m. Thursday, February 1, 2024, in the 12100 block of East Ford Avenue. Once at the scene, officers located a 33-year-old Aurora man suffering from an obvious gunshot wound.
Officers performed lifesaving actions on the man until an ambulance arrived at the scene. The man was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The man will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
