(Jan. 21, 2024) – A man passed away Saturday evening after an auto-pedestrian crash at Montview Blvd. and Elmira St.
Approximately 5:45 p.m., officers responded to a crash where an adult male was struck by a vehicle. The individual was crossing Montview Blvd. when a sedan heading eastbound collided with him. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later pronounced deceased. The driver of the sedan, an adult woman, remained on scene and cooperated with police.
Both east and westbound lanes of E. Montview Blvd closed, and N. Elmira St. was closed north and south for several hours while Aurora police's Traffic Investigation Unit conducted an investigation on scene.
The Adam's County Coroner's Office will identify the deceased individual.
This marks the 1st traffic-related death in Aurora this year.
