Aurora Police Investigating Fatal Stabbing

(Nov. 27, 2023) – The Aurora Police Department Major Crime Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Sunday night in south Aurora.

Patrol officers responded about 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, to a report of a stabbing at an apartment complex in the 16000 block of East Easter Circle. Once on scene, officers located a 40-year-old unresponsive man lying in an entryway. The man had multiple obvious stab wounds to his torso.

Officers performed lifesaving actions until medical responders arrived. The man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later died of his injuries. He will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.

The suspect, a 13-year-old boy, remained at the scene and was taken into custody by police. He was booked into jail on charges of second-degree murder. The suspect is not being identified at this time because he is a minor.
