Aurora Fire crews respond to reports of a fire in a carport adjacent to a residence.
At approximately 10:30 am on November 1st, Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to reports of a car port on fire. Crews arrived and found heavy fire and smoke conditions in the car port area and began to mitigate the hazard with hose lines. The fire was quickly brought under control by the on scene crews and was kept to the car port area not extending into the adjacent living spaces of the structure.
No injuries reported as a result of the car fire or mitigation efforts. Initial reports are that the fire may have been as a result of a vehicle crash into the structure, however the cause is currently under investigation.
