Aurora Man Dies Friday Night in Single Motorcycle Crash

(Oct. 21, 2023) – A 27-year-old Aurora man died Friday night in a single motorcycle crash in the Laredo Highline neighborhood.

Aurora patrol officers responded about 10 p.m. to a report of a crash near the intersection of Joplin Street and East Seventh Avenue. Witnesses told police the man, who was riding west on a 2020 black Harley Davidson, struck a parked trailer.

The man sustained a serious leg injury and was flung from the motorcycle. Responding officers provided lifesaving actions to the man before he was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The man will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office after notifications of next of kin.

The Aurora Police Department Traffic Investigation Unit responded to investigate the crash. Alcohol is being investigated as a possible contributing factor to the crash.

The crash marks the 58th traffic-related death in 2023 in Aurora.
