(Sept. 21, 2023) – The Aurora Police Department Major Crime Homicide Unit has arrested an Aurora man following a fatal shooting Wednesday in the Seven Hills neighborhood.
Allentino Barroso, 18, was arrested early Thursday morning on one charge of second-degree murder. The charge stems from a shooting about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at a gas station in the 18800 block of East Hampden Avenue.
The victim, a 17-year-old boy, was taken to a local hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim later died at the hospital from injuries sustained in the shooting. The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity after notification of next of kin.
