Man Dies from Injuries Sustained in July Motorcycle vs. Pedestrian Crash

(Sept. 19, 2023) – A man has died from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle versus pedestrian crash in July in the Dam East Dam West neighborhood.

Aurora police officers responded at 8:50 p.m. July 11, to a report of a serious injury crash involving two motorcyclists and a pedestrian near the intersection of South Parker Road and South Peoria Street. The pedestrian, a 34-year-old man, was illegally crossing Parker Road when he was struck by the motorcycles, which were both traveling north on Peoria Street.

Both motorcycles crashed after the initial collision with the pedestrian. One of the riders was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. He remained hospitalized until his death on Aug. 31. The man will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.

The crash marks the 49th traffic-related death this year in Aurora.
