Small kitchen fire in a residence quickly located and brought under control.
At approximately 09:50am on August 28th, Aurora Fire Rescue responded to reports of a structure fire in the neighborhood S Moline St. and E Alaska Ave.
First arriving fire units found signs of fire and smoke coming from the attic space along the eaves of the roofline. Firefighters made entry and found fire in the kitchen and proceeded to mitigate the hazard. Next arriving crews conducted searches of the building and found no human or pet victims within the structure. The fire was quickly brought under control by crews on-scene and is currently under investigation.
No information as to whether the occupants of the residence will be displaced as a result of the fire.
