UPDATE: Investigators have positively identified the girl in question, who is safe. The girl and the person of interest are known to each other, and this remains an active investigation. We appreciate everyone who called in tips and assisted our detectives with identifying and safely locating this girl.

(July 25, 2023) – The Aurora Police Department’s Major Crime Homicide Unit is asking for the public’s help with information about a suspicious incident.
The incident occurred about 8:45 p.m. Friday, in the parking lot of the Cornerstar Shopping Center in the 15700 block of E. Briarwood Circle. Video obtained from the scene shows four males, who arrived in a black Mercedes Benz sedan, waiting in the parking lot next to a silver Nissan SUV when one of the males walks off and approaches two females.
The male grabs one of the females by the arm and appears to pull her to the Nissan. Moments later, the male pulls the female over to the Mercedes and places her in the backseat. The other female records video on her cellphone as the three other males enter the car and drive away.
No missing persons reports have been made to the Aurora Police Department or the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators also don’t have any license plate information.
Although there are no missing persons reports and no other reports of criminal activity in the area, detectives are asking for help from the public out of an abundance of caution for the female’s safety. Investigators are asking for any information about the four males and two females in the video. Investigators also are interested in any information about the two vehicles.
