Aurora, CO. - At 1:30 a.m. this morning, Aurora Fire Rescue units were dispatched to reports of a house on fire in the 500 block of N Galena street. Upon arrival, crews found active fire to the back of a single family residence and upgraded the response adding additional units for fire suppression and potential victim rescues.
AFR crews quickly brought the fire under control then began ventilation of the structure and investigating for fire extension into hidden areas of the residence. No injuries to any occupants of the building reported during searches of the structure.
Two adults and two pets were displaced by the fire, no timeline as to when they'll be able to return to the residence.
