		Solar thermal panels mounted at city recreation centers heat pools. Solar thermal panels at two fire stations heat water for domestic uses at these 24-7 facilities including for showers, dishwashing and laundry.
		Solar arrays at the Municipal Justice Center (shown), Sand Creek Reuse Facility and South Satellite Facilities help power city facilities.
		The Solar Technology Acceleration Center (SolarTAC) leases 75 acres at the city-owned Aurora Campus for Renewable Energy for research and development of solar and storage equipment.
		Aurora received the Solar Friendly Communities designation by the Department of Energy in 2013 and the SolSmart designation in 2016 for offering streamlined zoning and permitting for solar arrays. More information is available at www.auroragov.org/solar.
