Aurora Fire Rescue once again participated in the “Care Enough to Wear Pink” campaign this October, switching out
traditional uniform shirts for a pink design in support of breast cancer
awareness.
All department members who purchased the 2019
shirt in support of the cause have the option to put aside their regular
uniform shirts and don the designated Pink Shirts, which are navy with pink
letters. City of Aurora employees across all departments have been invited to
participate in the Pink Shirt fundraiser as well. Proceeds from each shirt
purchased will be directed to the Firefighters of Aurora Benevolent Fund, which
supports members who are fighting breast cancer or who have immediate family
members who are impacted.
