Aurora Dance Arts offers a variety of performance opportunities for students, such as the annual Spring Dance Recital, various Fall dance productions (i.e. - "The Nutcracker Ballet," "Alice in Wonderland" or the "Wizard of Oz") and the two Aurora Dance Hearts performing groups. Participation in Fall dance productions and the Aurora Dance Hearts Performing Groups is by audition only. Please keep an eye out for e-mails from the director and updates to this section of the website whenever auditions for additional performance opportunities are announced!

Congratulations to the Opening and Closing Casts for the Spring Dance Recitals!

The Cast Lists and Rehearsal Schedules are posted and you can access them by clicking the buttons below. Please make sure to read all information thoroughly before accepting your casting.

Please call the Dance Office at 303.326.8308 or e-mail [email protected] to accept your casting by Friday, Feb. 21, by 5 p.m. Ms. Rachel's rehearsals start on Saturday, Feb. 22, Ms. Maggie's rehearsals begin Sunday, Feb. 23, and Ms. Minda/Ms. Michelle's rehearsals begin Sunday, March 2. We do need to know as soon as possible if you would like to accept your casting and that you are planning on the rehearsal commitment as it is stated in these documents.

Please also note that the allowed number of excused absences for each cast. If you have any preexisting conflict dates that you are already aware of, please also send those in an e-mail along with your acceptance, so that an absence list can be compiled for all choreographers.

Thank you so much to everyone who auditioned this year! If you were cast in these ensembles, we look very forward to getting the process started. If you were not cast this year, please do not be discouraged. We always encourage dancers to keep working hard in their dance classes to come back and wow us at future auditions. Please also note that the decision of the choreographers and the director is final, and also please note that we encourage all dancers to accept any casted roles with grace, humility and gratitude. Congratulations to the Cameos for the 2025 Recitals!

The following people have been chosen to present their Cameos in the “Mystical Movement of Mother Nature” Recitals. Please note that Cameos have been assigned to either the Beg-Adv Recitals on Friday, June 6, or Saturday, June 7 in the evening, or in the Pre Recital on Sunday, June 8, in the afternoon. Exact show orders will be communicated out very soon! Please make sure to check all casting documents contained in the buttons below.

The Dance Office will be in contact with you about the details of your Cameo in Recital and your place in the show order. You will also be assigned an instructor to work with on choreographic feedback/suggestions, cleaning your piece, and allowing for studio time to rehearse.

Thank you to everyone that auditioned! It takes a lot of bravery to submit a Cameo for adjudication and to perform in front of the judging panel. We are very proud of all dancers, whether your piece was chosen or not.

If your piece was not selected this year, please know that the caliber of submissions was very high. If your piece was not selected this year, we also encourage you to continue with your love and passion for dancing and continue to train diligently in your regular technique classes along with considering the possibility of taking an Introduction to Choreography class to more fully understand and develop skills in dance choreography and creation. 

Congratulations to all of our selected Cameos this year! We look forward to watching you shine on stage at the 2025 Recitals. These chosen Cameos will be a wonderful enhancement to all Recitals and will serve to help inspire many young dancers to keep dancing with our program along with entertaining our wonderful audiences who come to see the show.

Aurora Dance Hearts! 

The Aurora Dance Hearts are special groups of dancers who serve as ambassadors for the program at various events throughout the year. Generally, these groups perform anywhere from 10-15 extra times per year! 

Please see the buttons below for the casted members of Groups A and B for the 2024-2025 Aurora Dance Hearts Season and specific information that dancers/families need to know about fees, expectations and general policies. Please read all information carefully to understand the commitment of accepting a spot in the Aurora Dance Hearts this year.
