AURORA DANCE ARTS SPRING DANCE RECITALS!

INFORMATION AND SHOW ORDERS

Please click the buttons below for all general information for each of our three Spring Dance Recitals. There is a Beg-Adv Show #1 on Friday, June 7 at 6:30 p.m., a Pre Level Show on Saturday, June 8 at 2:30 p.m., and a Beg-Adv Show #2 on Saturday, June 8 at 6:30 p.m.

Additional notes included below as well for some extenuating circumstances for certain dancers, such as those in the Opening/Closing numbers, those that are performing Cameos, and Adult Dancers in the show. Please note, this is just general information, but dance director, Ms. Maggie, will reach out to you all in a separate e-mail more directly to clarify this information further.

Because of time limitations of Dress Rehearsal on June 5, we will be adding some additional Dress Rehearsal time on a couple of dates in the afternoon.

These additional time slots will be:

*JUNE 5 from 2-4 p.m. - OPENING/CLOSING/CAMEOS/DANCES FOR JUNE 7 SHOW THAT NEED ADDITIONAL BLOCKING TIME

*JUNE 7 from 2-4 p.m. - OPENING/CLOSING/CAMEOS/DANCES FOR JUNE 8 SHOW THAT NEED ADDITIONAL BLOCKING TIME

  • We will skip over Opening/Closing/Cameos/Adult Classes in the first Dress Rehearsal on June 5, because we are giving those dances some extra time in the afternoon before the mandatory break time for the PACE staff. We will also skip Cameos in the second Dress Rehearsal on June 5.

     

  • Cameo dancers should definitely plan on this 2-4 p.m. time slot on June 5 and June 7, depending on your Beg-Adv Cameo assignment.

     

  • As much as possible, all dancers in the Opening and Closing of the Beg-Adv Recitals should also plan on this 2-4 p.m. time slot. Ms. Maggie will send a separate e-mail about this along with the early arrival time on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8 for additional runs of these large-scale pieces.

     

  • Teachers will also be informing Ms. Maggie of any additional classes that absolutely need extra blocking time. They will be speaking with their classes this week about availability for this extra time, and if a class is called during this extra rehearsal time slot, Ms. Maggie will e-mail you personally.

     

  • Adult Dancers will only need to attend the second Dress Rehearsal on Wednesday, June 5. Since your dances are in both Recitals, to save time, we will just be running your dances in the second rehearsal. But do please plan on performing on both Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8 in the Beg-Adv Level Recitals.

     

  • There is no additional time commitment for the Pre Recital. These extra afternoon rehearsal time slots are only for the Beg-Adv Recitals.

TICKETS FOR RECITAL:

 

Ticket Cost: $16 per person

 

Tickets On Sale: May 13 at 8 a.m.

 

Please note that online ticket sales will go live at 8 a.m. on May 13, but the PACE Box Office does not open until 12 p.m. that day if you have a preference for purchasing tickets over the phone.


Seating is assigned, so you will need to pick your seats for your personal preference. Please note that there is really not a bad seat in the house at the PACE center. It is a beautiful theater with awesome viewing everywhere.


Please make sure that you double-check your child's Recital information to purchase tickets to the correct Recital.


Please make sure to invite lots of friends, family, teachers, colleagues, etc. to share in these special shows. We want to share in these performances with as many people as possible. Also, if you are currently in a recreational dance class & are curious about getting your child involved in the Continuous Children's next year, we would love for you to come out & see our Recital performances & share in the magical of this year's shows.

 

TICKETS SELL EXTREMELY FAST FOR RECITAL, SO PLEASE BE PREPARED. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door if we have not already sold out. However, because the seating is assigned, we cannot guarantee how many seats will be available and/or if you will be able to get seats all together with your family. Purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended!

  

Every person over 2 years of age attending the recital must have a ticket. If you have a child under the age of 2, they may sit on your lap for the duration of the show for free, but they cannot have their own seat if you wish for them to attend for free. If any person is planning to sit in a seat, a ticket must be purchased.

 

Do not buy a ticket for your dance student who is in the performance! They are performing and thus, do not require a ticket.
