Description:
Molly was inspired by contemporary nanoscience research at the Colorado School of Mines and experimental dome buildings in Trinidad and Gardner. The sculptures will honor the experimentation, innovation and future problem-solving that is critical to the culture of Colorado. Molly was also inspired by Buckminster Fuller, who was a frequent visitor to Colorado. The sculpture itself is named after an article that Fuller wrote for Harper’s Magazine in 1975.

Artist Biography:
Molly Dilworth is a Brooklyn-based artist who views creative practice as a form of research. She has partnered with green building community organizations, climate change activists, arts organizations and government agencies to make public art pieces that address our relationship to labor, ethics, history, nature and technology.
