Hungry Paws Project

The 2024 Aurora Civic Engagement Academy graduating class is hosting an animal supply drive throughout October and November to benefit the Aurora Animal Shelter. All contributions will help enrich the lives of shelter pets and provide much-needed supplies for adoptive and foster families. 
 
Needed food and treats: 

• Peanut butter, canned hot dogs, bone broth
• Sealed pet treats (Greenies, Pupperoni, Beggin Strips, etc.)
• Wet canned food (Weruva, Tiki Cat/Dog; *no Science Diet please*)
• Kitten and puppy formula
• Mother and baby cat food (wet and dry)
• Long-lasting dog chews (bully sticks, cow/pig ears, yak chews)

Needed supplies: 

• Shallow food bowls, non-clumping litter
• New cat and dog toys
• Soft-sided playpens, pet carriers
• Lysol wipes, paper towels

About Aurora Civic Engagement Academy 

Would you like to learn about your local government? Consider applying to the Aurora Civic Engagement Academy. The Aurora Civic Engagement Academy is an eight-week program that helps residents deepen their knowledge of the city and its operations. The program aims to develop and cultivate leaders in the community and provide insights into the City Council’s decision-making process. The program is free for participants.
