MOSAIC OF CULTURES: NEPAL

Ages 7 – 13

Join us for this very special camp in support of our Mosaic of Cultures: Nepal exhibit. In this camp we will be joined by professional artists, performers and musicians from Colorado’s Nepalese community. Learn about Nepalese culture while engaging in a variety of arts, crafts, music and dance.

WRITE YOUR OWN COMIC

Ages 10 – 16

Do you love comics? Have you ever thought of creating your own?  During this week-long summer camp, we give you the tools you need to create your own comic! Each day you will build your writing and drawing skills while learning about the process of creating a comic. At the end of camp, you will have your own comic to take home! Practice your literacy and drawing skills in a fun, relaxed environment.

THE HISTORY OF WRITING

Ages 7 – 13

Have you ever wondered how writing was invented? In this STEAM based camp we will learn what writing is, investigate the first writing systems, make our own cave paintings, make paper from recycled scraps and explore one of the world's greatest inventions: the printing press. Join us for this action-packed camp to learn all this and more.

Summer Camps are sponsored by the Aurora Museum Foundation. Member of the Aurora Museum Foundation and City employees are eligible for a discount when registering family members for camps. You must register in the museum or at a Parks, Recreation and Open Space facility to receive these discounts.
