Aurora Central Library | Large Community Room
Do you ever wonder how Aurora plans for its future? Do you wonder how city staff work to make plans into reality? Do you wonder how the various elements of our city, the people, the housing stock, the various types of businesses, the road and transit systems, and our parks and open spaces come together to make this place Aurora? Join us for the City of Aurora’s Citizens’ Planning Academy. This year’s Citizens’ Planning Academy will introduce you to the basics of community planning and get you engaged in thinking about our community in a way you might not be used to. This 2-day evening academy will inform citizens why planning is valuable, cover the types of topics and issues planners work with, show you the tools planners use to make and implement plans, and teach you some ways to get involved so you can apply your new city planning knowledge.
Please contact Liia Koiv-Haus at lkoiv@auroragov.org or 303.739.7137 to claim your spot. Registration covers both evening workshops. Dinner will be served. Please indicate any dietary restrictions when registering.
