Other Road Construction Work
Chambers Road and 25th Avenue
Two southbound left lanes of Chambers Road will be closed starting April 3 for utility work. Lanes will be closed around the clock for about 18 days, weather permitting.
East 17th Street closure between Akron and Alton streets for three weeks
Beginning March 8, East 17th Street between Akron and Alton streets will have daytime closures for the next three weeks. Detours will be in place and alternate routes using 16th or 18th streets are advised. Aurora Water is taking advantage of predicted nice weather to replace a water main. Work will be done between morning and evening rush hours when possible.
E-470 Widening Project
The E-470 widening project began in spring 2016. This project continues to impact Aurora roadways to address the widening of bridges. Various lane closures will continue during the project, including Arapahoe Road and Quincy Avenue. Significant delays are expected. Alternate routes are advised through the duration of the project.
Coming up: Quincy Avenue down to one-lane road with flaggers from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 27 and 28

Nighttime Hauling to DADS Landfill
The city and county of Denver (CCoD) is working on a large redevelopment project along the South Platte River, resulting in excavated material being transported to the Denver Arapahoe Disposal Site (DADS landfill). For this initial phase of work, which started in January, the material will be transported at night between 7 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The route will be primarily along highways (I-70 to E-470 to Jewell Avenue and then South Gun Club Road). Due to the fact that the work will be done primarily during night time hours, traffic and related impacts are expected to be minimal. CCoD will provide hauling-related updates as work progresses.
