Customer Courtesy Rules





Please be respectful and considerate of fellow patrons and staff at the library by wearing a mask (covering mouth and nose), and adhering to 6’ Social Distancing Guidelines.

Take no actions that interfere with the ability of others to use the library for its intended purposes.

Be respectful of the library building, materials, and equipment.


We do not allow:
Threating or causing violence, physical harm or injury to another person or property.
Use of harassing or abusive language, such as threats, profanity or insults.
Any kind of sexual harassment or sexually inappropriate/illegal behavior.
Viewing sexually inappropriate material or conducting illegal activity on computers.
Public intoxication or the use of cigarettes, vapes, alcohol, marijuana or illegal substances.
Sleeping in the library (for your safety)
Soliciting or panhandling.
Excessive luggage, bags or carts that may interfere with safety or walkways.
Offensive odors.
Children under age 8 without adult or sibling/peer over age 12 present.
Adults in youth designated areas other than parents/guardians or with prior authorization.
Roller skates, roller blades, Heelys, skate board use or bicycles stored inside.
Inappropriate dress (shoes and shirt are required).
Animals other than non-disruptive, leashed and approved service animals.
Damage or abuse of library materials, buildings or equipment.
Using the library in a way contrary to its intended purposes.
Taking actions that interfere with the ability of others to use the library or its intended purposes.

WHEN USING THE LIBRARY, PLEASE:
Comply with staff requests.
Quiet cell phones and avoid loud conversations.
Leave at closing time.
Have food/drinks in designated areas only (no food at computers).
Supervise your children.

Some violations may result in suspension from the library.
