(Sept. 30, 2024) – The Aurora Police Department Major Crime Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred over the weekend in northwest Aurora.
At 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Aurora patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1700 block of Boston Street. The victim, a 20-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital by associates before officers arrived at the scene. The victim died shortly after arriving at the hospital. He will be identified by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.
The preliminary investigation has determined two groups of people were involved in the shooting. Evidence at the scene suggests the victim and his associates were targeted by the other group involved in the shooting. Investigators do not think there is any ongoing danger to the public.
No arrests have been made and there is no suspect information available at this time.
